The Joanne Reagan Dance Studio is the proud home of the Performing Companies of the Apprentice, Mini, Difference, Jr. Sophisticated and Sophisticated Companies.  The company experience gives students the opportunity to perform in more than the Spring Recital.  This gives the company student the opportunity to experience the elements and requirements of a live performance in many settings other than the state of the art theatre.  It teaches students to be able to adjust and adapt to any situation.  It teaches them to compensate and deal with different circumstances.  It also teaches students the supportive environment.  It exposes students to various elements of versatility that are needed for theatre dance performing and life.

PLACEMENT is determined by several elements, e.g., Level, attitude, responsibility, maturity, size, age, and overall complexion of the company.  Moving from one company to the next is not to be considered as a promotion or demotion.  It is upon the general need and objectives of each company that year.

PLACEMENT OF STUDENTS INTO ONE OF THE FIVE COMPANIES IS UPON SOLE DISCRETION OF JOANNE HORN

Candidates for the Sophisticated Company must have been in a ballet class at least one year prior to consideration.  As a Sophisticated Company Member & Jr. Sophisticated Company Member it is required to take one 1 hour ballet class.  It is highly recommended that Difference Company Members also take one ballet class.
